The Pop in nappy by Close Parent
Close Parent is a company run by mums and the Pop in nappy has been designed by mums so this is a great start! They are an ethical company who operate a fair trade policy with their suppliers.
The Pop-in nappycomes in five attractive unisex colours. It looks good and feels lovely and soft. The nappy is put on just like a disposable and fastenes with stretchy aplix tabs (similar to velcro) which helps give a lovely snug fit. There is no need for a seperate wrap with this nappy.
The nappy seperates into three parts for washing to ensure quicker drying time. First you have the outer shell which which is made from a soft brushed polyester which is coated with a waterproof yet breathable material called TPU (there is no spandex or PVC) Then inside there's a slim bamboo soaker and slim bamboo booster - these are shaped so that only enough material is used to provide the absorbion required without the unnecessary bulk. The soaker is attached to the outer shell with poppers and the booster is attached to the soaker with poppers too.
The outer shell of the pop in has poppers to adjust the size of the so that it fits from newborn to potty trained. This makes this nappy excellent value for money as there is only one size to buy. The soaker and booster can be tumble dried however the outer shell cannot.
The 'Dri Night' Booster - This is a square piece of bamboo fabric which is folded in three. It folds to a rectangle shape and pops into place inside the nappy. The 'Dri Night' booster is to be used at night or on very long journeys. This booster would rarely be used on younger babies as the other parts of the nappy should be absorbent enough even for night time use. The 'Dri Night' booster however proved a godsend for us as our 'baby' is nearly 2! It can be used as a pre-fold for newborns (we have not tested it in this way)
We found the bamboo fabric in this nappy is very absorbent. We've had no leaks whatsoever and because it comes apart it dries quicker than most bamboo nappies. The outer shell did pile a little after a few washes (I'm probably nitpicking here because it doesn't make any difference and they still look nice) The nightime booster when used with all the other parts seems very bulky but this makes for a leak free night and no great rush to get the nappy changed first thing in the morning.
In conclusion this nappy looks good, works extremely well and is good value. Buy a Pop-in Test Kit.

I like this nappy! I just purchsed the 2 weeks ago and find them to be good. Nice fit,not bulky ,very soft (specially around the waist). I also have bumgenius 3.1 thats why I decided to try the pop-in and so far they are working well on my little son. One very good thing about them that the outer shell can work as a wrap ,because if it doesn\’t get wet I can just pop-in another soaker without changing a whole nappy, I can even use the nappy with other boosters and sookers as well! Easy to wash, but the soaker takes a bit of time to dry because it’s bamboo.
I reccomend them even for longer trips.

I’m using these nappies on a newborn baby, and so far they’ve been superb. It’s possible to make them even smaller (my little boy was a tiny 6-pounder!) by folding the front flap over. They’re great because they aren’t bulky.
They are brilliant on the massive breastfed poos (sorry!), and we don’t change a nappy at night so he can do up to 12 hours and still be dry.
I think an important point is that they do need to be washed several times for full absorbency: twice wasn’t enough for an overnight dry nappy.

Our youngest daughter is almost potty trained now.. we’re really going to miss seeing her in our favourite nappies the Pop-in!

I really like this nappy. I didn’t realise how much until I bought some other brands to try out. There was a 10% sale on everything in a local store so I decided to buy some different brand nappies because they are popular. The performance I got from the three other brands did not come close to the pop in and now I wish I had bought some extra pop in nappies instead!
- I have never had a leak with the pop in nappy
- The night booster is brilliant now that my little son is older
- The pop in nappy fits under all clothing
however…
- The bamboo takes long to dry
I am going to try out the dream dry nappy by pop in as soon as I have sold the other brands which I bought!

Pop-in Bamboo
The Pop-in Bamboo is my preferred night nappy, the bamboo inserts are lovely and soft. However, as bamboo is really absorbent it can take a while to dry. The aplix fastening means I get a good leak free fit on my baby without it being too tight, expect a heavy nappy in the morning.

Hmmmm, I first bought the pop-ins 7 months ago when my daughter was about 18 months, she was a chunky little monkey, and even on the biggest setting, the aplix was straining and whilst I could squeeze her in, I couldn’t boost them for night etc as there was no spare room at all in them, so after a few weeks I retired them and switched to bumgenius V3 which were slightly bigger (although I can’t boost those either now so have moved onto the Flip)
However- I’m now using the pop-ins on my 6 month old son, I like them and don’t think I’ve had any leaks, they’re nice and absorbant although they do take a while to dry compared with microfibre nappies. They have bobbled a bit in the wash, but the colours haven’t faded.
Overall I am pleased with them, especially as they’re cheaper than some other brands, however on a large child I think they struggle to work as a birth-to-potty system.

I’ve just got one of these to try out on my daughter & I like it, but on the night-time booster, there’s a popper that I can’t seem to find a home for!! I fold it into 3 & popper it closed, but on the underside there is a single spare popper that doesn’t seem to match up with anything? Can anyone help??!
