Meet The Babipur Team: Hello Jenia!
Meet Team Babipur
Just over fourteen years ago, the Babipur story began. A tiny independent business, with a spare room crammed full of ethical goodies. Two people, Jolene and Peter with a dream to make a difference. Fast forward a few years and Babipur has grown from strength to strength surrounded by an amazing community of like minded folks, looking to be more conscious consumers. Over the past fourteen years as Babipur has grown, so has its amazing and dedicated Team. Peter and Jolene believe strongly in creating jobs for local people in Wales and equally, providing flexible working opportunity where it is most needed, is very important to them.
To celebrate all the hard work and contribution that each member of Team Babipur make, we will be sharing a little bit about one person a month. Up first is our lovely Jenia who works at Babipur as Peter’s assistant, and is a valuable member of our team…Over to you Jenia!!
How long have you worked at Babipur?
1.5 years
What’s your role?
I’m Pete’s assistant
What do you love most about your job?
No two days are the same, constantly learning something new. I also like working with the amazing team we have got here in Babipur.
Do you have any pets at home?
Not at the moment. But we are planning on getting a cat once we settled in the new house we have moved in just before Christmas.
What are your hobbies?
Reading and nature walks
How do you like to spend your weekends?
See 5 🙂
What is your guilty pleasure?
Dark chocolate – could eat it all day long
Music or podcast? Favourite band, or podcast?
Hard to say, depends on the mood I’m in, really. Could be old rock bands like Queen and Aerosmith or mood-boosting ABBA.
Go-to TV show?
All-time favourite – Friends
What do you love most about where you live?
I have got 2 of my favourite things – sea and mountains – on my doorstep, blessed to live in such a beautiful place!

Just 2 – English and Russian. Oh, and I understand Welsh a little 🙂
What is your favourite snack?
Sushi. Does it qualify as a snack? It does for me 🙂
Have you made any eco-swaps since working at Babipur? Tell us about them!
Klean Kanteen (obviously!), Ecoliving Shampoo bar (Autumn Berries is my favourite) and Bio-D cleaning products. One of the best swaps was Luggy shopping basket for my daughter – she absolutely adores it and pushes around town, any excuse to go shopping with Luggy (I think I started to forget to take my bank card on these walks…accidentally)
What is your favourite Babipur brand?
Tony’s any day!
What is your favourite Welsh word?
Cariad
