Babipur Investing in People

Babipur values people

Here at Babipur, we have an amazing team of very dedicated and hard working people. Over the last eleven years, our team has grown to nearly thirty people and we couldn’t be happier. It has been a fantastic opportunity to offer local employment in our home town in Wales, and we pride ourselves on offering flexible working opportunities wherever possible.  Every person makes their own individual contribution, and without the diverse mix of skills that our team brings, Babipur wouldn’t be the same place.

A chance to develop

We currently have three employees starting their year long commitment to and NVQ in Customer Service and Administration, either at level two or three. NVQ is a work based qualification which recognises the skills and knowledge a person needs to do a job. It is a great opportunity to undergo work-based learning, and validate the role within which you are currently employed.

This requires lots of dedication and we are very proud to support Nic, Llinos and Sion in obtaining this qualification. It involves regular monthly meetings with a designated mentor, who will observe them in their practical roles and set lots of homework!  It’s going to be a lot of hard work but we are really inspired by all of their enthusiasm to develop their knowledge and skills in this field.

Llinos

“I live in Porthmadog with my husband, Nathan, our dog, Bobi, and a new little kitten, Luna. I’ve worked at Babipur for almost 4 and a half years now and have incredibly lucky to be able to grow with Babipur, and gain experience as a result. Having left higher education without many qualifications, I’m so pleased Babipur are giving me this opportunity to get more qualifications under my belt. The course will last a year, and we’ll be assessed in the work place for an hour and a half each month with some paperwork to be completed in our own time.

I think all 3 of us would agree that Babipur is a great place to work, and we’re all proud to be part of this wonderful team, so are all so excited to be part of this development opportunity.”

Sion

“I’ve worked with Babipur for over a year now. I’ve gained experience and learned so much in the short amount of time. After graduating university, I’m always wanting to learn new skills and pleased that Babipur have given me this opportunity. I’m excited to get stuck in, and looking forward to the challenge.”

Nia

“I live in Porthmadog with my partner Meic and two children – my son Llion is 5 and my daughter Eira is 22 months. I previously worked for the council for 9 years, but loved the ethical values of Babipur and was really proud when I started working here on Customer Services in the last few months. I left college with 3 A-levels but felt that I didn’t want to go on to University as I had no idea what I wanted to study. I’m really glad that I now have the opportunity to study for an NVQ in Customer Service with Babipur and I’m looking forward to the challenge!”

Team Babipur wishes Llinos, Sion and Nia all the best for the year ahead x
