Mama McCann’s diary of Cloth – bumGenius V3
Me and Fizz are quite attached to this nappy. It it easy to put together – daddy has even learnt how to do them!
The nappy is from birth to potty and is adaptable via a press stud system on the front. I found these easier to do once the nappy is on to ensure I got a good fit. The colours are fab, we have a variety so we can match with outfits – we love Grasshopper colour!
These nappies have washed really well, they dry fast (within a day if weather is cooler) we’ve had them for around 3 weeks now and wash them with a little bit of Fairy Non Bio. We’re keen to try using other non bios though if there are any suggestions for eczema friendly ones.
They have a handy tab inside to use during washing. Since we have had a spate of hot weather and the nappies aren’t in the traditional style we have no qualms about letting our little on roll about in just her nappy. If you think cloth bums pack too much booty these nappies will surprise you! Fizz manages to roll and squirm as much as she did in disposibles so they definitely haven’t hindered her growing mobility yet! She has this week managed to get in front of the video/dvd player to play with daddys Dr Who collection!
Hi Michelle
It’s great to hear that your new cloth nappy journey is going so well! We’ve loved the bumGenius V3 nappies too.. they’ve been ever so popular. People love them because they are so reliable and easy to use. We’ve almost run out of these nappies now… The new bumGenius 4.0 arrives today to replace it, and hopefully by the end of the year we should have prints too! YIPEEEEEE. Thanks for the pics too – Fizz is beautiful x
lovely to read as always!
Izzy looks soooo comfy and happy in them, love the pix xxx
CUTE! We don’t use conventional detergents like fairy because they contain optical brighteners which I don’t really want on our babies bottoms (we use ecoballs and essential oils for fragrance). In fact I sell eco-friendly products and there are a number of other options to conventional detergents which I truly believe work just as well or better in some cases and don’t use nasty chemicals. I have a facebook group for my shop called “A Gentle Revolution” which has reviews and competitions, please join and write on the wall if you’d like to chat about some different options. 🙂 Hope this is OK Babi Pur?
I can also recommend Ecover brand for an eco-friendly non-bio that actually works.
I love our V3s, the nappy that even dads and grandparents can use without fear! They’re always the quickest to dry out of our varied collection too.
Thank you for all the comments
Would love to know more about cloth cleaning with essential oils, eco friendly products x
