Line of Joy! (Mama McCann’s diary of Cloth)

So here is my pride and joy! Clean reusable nappies of different varieties on my washing line.
I love it, the clean smell of washing and also am being continually surprised with how clean the nappies get. Only one nappy needed a second wash to get staining out!

We had a trip back to my in laws this week and it tested us with the cloth bum. As it was a rush visit to see a poorly mother in law I ended up packing for myself, Fizz and my husband Gav and with limited time and space didn’t have room for all my cloth nappies. I am hoping that some of you can help me with nifty packing tips. We’ve have tried a flip nappy but although a fab idea it just didn’t work for us. How do we pack economically for a two day visit without having an extra bag? As we have to collapse a buggy, have baby in a sling for the tube it proves difficult to not be overloaded.

On the good side I won a Graco Sporty change bag. This fits in 5 reusable nappies so is great for us to use on a daily basis. Are there any other change bags that easily fit cloth nappies in as well as have a separate compartment for bottles, purse, keys and phone? Let me know as am a bag freak at the best of times!

I am married to Gav and mummy of a gorgeous girl who arrived 11 days late in December 2009. I started blogging in 2009 when I was 17 weeks pregnant after becoming frustrated reading pregnancy books and wanting something a bit more open and honest. I started to write for a local newspaper and loved being able to share all things mummy, wife and life related, sometimes whingeing but positive also! I love music and reading but am currently immersed in anything baby related. I love my life!
