Fuzzi Bunz Sanitary Pads – Post-Partum Review

fuzzi bunz sanitary pads

This is the second reusable sanitary pad review for the post-partum period.

The Fuzzi Bunz super sized pads were a lot shorter than I expected for a pad typically designed for night time wear. They are soft, very absorbent and easy to use.

The coloured top to the pad makes it easy to determine which side goes up in your underwear, however I personally didn’t like the feel of the top of the pad, it’s a man made fabric and strangely I found it got cold very quickly after a visit to the toilet. It made me feel as though I needed to change to pad more frequently than I would normally.

Washing the Fuzzi Bunz pad is easy, it should be treated the same as any other re-usable cloth product (like washable wipes or nappies) max 60 wash temp and avoid fabric softeners. Stains seem less of an issue due to the top of the liner being coloured but feint outlines can be seen on closer inspection so a cold rinse before the main wash will reduce staining. I typically washed them with Megan’s nappies but often found the odd one had slipped into the normal wash.

The Fuzzi Bunz pads in my opinion is more suited for daytime use due to length, but I’m a larger build lady and this may just be due to my size. If your a slimmer build the pad would probably prove sufficient for night time use too.

The cost comparison for The Fuzzi Bunz pads is good, especially as these pads are designed to last several years (unlike single use disposable pads) Although these were initially tested for post partum use they will be regularly used as a daytime pad when my cycles return.
