Ecobubs Wool Pocket Nappies

The Ecobubs Wool Pocket nappies are coming very soon to Babi Pur – We’re so excited!  Want to know more about Ecobubs wool nappies?

Ecobubs, the brainchild of sisters Rebecca and Rochelle was born back in 2006 when both New Zealand sisters had new babies on the way – Rebecca’s first baby and Rochelle’s third after a ten year gap.  They both wanted to use cloth nappies  and were conscious of the environment, they saw a gap in the market and with their skills wanted their own business.  It was important that they come up with a product which they both believed in and which was NZ made.

Not only did Rebecca design the new wool nappy, she also made the prototype!  This was the only nappy of it’s kind (and still is)  “We wanted to combine the new with the old and we knew how many people in NZ loved wool. After the beginnings around the dining room table our wool nappy was born (so to speak)”

Today the Ecobubs wool nappy is a best seller in New Zealand as well as in other countries  globally.   According to Ecobubs it is the most leak proof and trusted cloth nappy around the globe.  This luxourious wool nappy has stopped many parents  using disposables on their heavy wetter at night as the wool works as a second barrier against leaks – it  has proved  to be very successful.

The Ecobubs wool pocket nappy has definitely got the cute factor!  The gorgeously soft wool and stripes make this nappy a must have for stylish babies.  But more importantly this nappy is very practical too – it dries in as little as 30 minutes which means you get a very fast turnaround of nappies and don’t need to buy as many.  It is surprisingly easy to care for this nappy, there is no need to lanolize the the wool – in fact  the nappy just goes into the washing machine and can even be tumble dried!  The nappy consists of one layer of  wool mix, a very thin layer of PUL (Polyurethanelaminate) and a layer of micro fleece.   The wool mix is very breathable and is great for regulating your baby’s tempurature – keeps baby warm in the winter and cool in the summer!  This nappy comes with it’s own fast drying micro-fibre insert (two are required for overnight) which is placed into the “pocket”  in-between the Wool/PUL and the micro fleece layer.

The Ecobubs Wool  nappy is available in 3 sizes for a good trim fit (the Medium size being the most popular) The side snap fastening means this nappy is both comfortable and easy to use.

Small 3.5-7 kg, Rise 34cm
Medium 5-12 kg, Rise 46cm
Large 11+ kg, Rise 50cm

You can pre-order your nappy for delivery early June here

  20. Michelle says:

We’ve never tried any wool and it would be interesting to try, although our little girl is coming upto 7 months old she is only just 11lb so sized nappies are a big plus to us but its hard to find smaller nappies that hold the amount of liquid she consumes overnight! Usually lots of boosting is going on!

I have tried many night nappies and have as yet to find the right one! Love the idea of using wool as a barrier and also that they are made taking inpact of the environment into consideration. And not to forget that they are designed by mum’s! I would love to try this nappy!

  36. Becki says:

Despite having worked my way through countless cloth nappies (I am a bit of an addict!)I am yet to try wool because although I find it intriguing, I also find it confusing and a bit scary! I would love to dip my toe in the water with one of these…

  40. Bec says:

I’m always on the lookout for new nappies to try (and add to my ever growing collection!) plus haven’t ever tried wool before.

  41. Ros says:

Firstly, they are so cute! I’d love to try this nappy to see if they dry as fast as they say. And being able to tumble dry them in the depths of winter, or when its been raining for a week in a Scottish ‘summer’ 🙂 and we can’t get nappies dried in time would be very handy too. Also I always seem to leave it till we only have a couple of nappies left to realise we need to do a nappy wash. So if you need any mroe reviewers I’d love to do it! Thanks, Ros

  42. Michelle F says:

I would love to test out an ecobub! They look lovely!

  43. Marie says:

I’d also love to be considered as a tester for you – the nappies look lovely, I’ve always wanted to try wool but never have and this would be a fantastic opportunity to try!

  44. Enola says:

I’d love to test these nappies as we presently use pockets and it’d be lovely to try wool ones. I’ve tried an interlock newborn soaker before but never got on with it, and wool is one of those wonderful natural things I’d REALLY like to like but remain presently unconvinced about!

  45. manisha says:

i’m a great fan of pockets and would like to try one of these, they really look great and the no leaks guarantee is attractive as my 6 month old son is still breast fed and has awful explosive poop!

  46. sara says:

omg i would sooo loooove to try one 😀 my little girl is vey active and Quite often has little leaks out the sides!! (please pick me!)

  47. Carol says:

oooh I haven’t tried wool before! I would love to trial the ecobob for you on my little boy. He is 13 weeks old. They look gorgeous and I love the fact that they dry so quickly.

  48. April says:

    Oh, these nappies look great!

I’ve been using bumgenius for a while and absolutely love them. I haven’t tried using them at night as I’m worried that they will leak.

I would love to give the Ecobubs a try though! I promise I’ll write a super detailed review! lol

  49. Melanie says:

I have been trying various real nappies with my 14 month old daughter over the last year- most seem to leak at the legs and I have not found any that work overnight. I am also currently looking for nappies for my newborn, so I would love to try Ecobubs with the pair of them.

  50. Ros says:

@April – we use bumgenius at night with our 1 year old no probs, no leaks. We’ve been using them since she was about 7-8 months. Give it a go, even if you don’t get ecobubs!

  51. Margaret says:

I’m 7 month pregnant with my first baby and would like to start using real nappies from the beggining. And WOOL nappy sounds soooooo good!
    I’d love to try them.

  52. Natalie says:

I have been using mainly BG on my 7mth boy (who is a very heavy wetter, still leaks sometimes), but unable to find a good night time nappy! Originally from Australia… would love to try/ and review this NZ invention.

  53. Katie says:

I’d love love love to try ecobubs! i’ve heard such good things about them! and that they are great night nappies and thats exactly what i’m after! 🙂 would love to try and review!

  54. Jo Raynes says:

we are fairly new to cloth nappies and have loved using various ones in the day. so far we have not found anything that will keep our 8 month old little dude dry all night. this definitely sounds like a nappy that should be tried. i would happily review it for you if required. i also plan to try the pop-in from close parent and am keen to see how the 2 compare.

  55. Gillian S says:

I have been using these nappies on my son for over a year now. I really WANTED to like this nappy, they are soo cute, but they leak more often than not, especially when I use the nappy a a night nappy 🙁 I think it is a design fault to have the tabs inside the nappy. The wool gets wet and wicks to the outside of the nappy, rather than going into the insert. I though perhaps as he grew they might fit him better, but it still leaks almost a year later.

  56. Allana says:

My 4 month old son and I would love to test the Ecobubs nappy, we are not currently using real nappies but think these could be the product to make us make the change from disposables. They look so stylist and I like the idea that the wool make them soft and breathable yet keep in the leaks.
