Crusing Around In Cloth (Mama McCann’s diary of cloth)

When we first started using cloth nappies I did have some concerns over whether they would hinder my Fizz’s mobility.

I shouldn’t have been worried at all. The styles available now are much slimmer then terry towelling and at nearly 8 months old we are getting many attempts at crawling and lots of walking with support.

Although some disposible nappies are very slim (but not as absorbent) at size 3 and above I love that cloth does have that extra bit of padding while Fizz is making attempts to crawl/walk and she has a lovely cushion for her bum. The elastic gusset on bumgenius v3, pop in bamboo and Tots Bots all mean that Fizz has freedom of movement and I don’t need to panic about leakage.

I’m sure she’ll be whizzing around really quickly as soon as she figures out what to do with her legs!

I am married to Gav and mummy of a gorgeous girl who arrived 11 days late in December 2009. I started blogging in 2009 when I was 17 weeks pregnant after becoming frustrated reading pregnancy books and wanting something a bit more open and honest. I started to write for a local newspaper and loved being able to share all things mummy, wife and life related, sometimes whingeing but positive also! I love music and reading but am currently immersed in anything baby related. I love my life!
