A Cloth Odyssey – Tots Bots Easyfits V2 Review
I’d had my eye on the Tots Bots Easyfit V2 Starburst for some time, and I was chuffed to bits when one landed on my doorstep. Next to BG’s, the Totsbots Easyfits were the nappies I’d heard people rave about most, and I was keen to give them a whirl.
Initially though, I was a little disappointed. I don’t know why, but I didn’t like the pattern as much as I thought I would, and during the pre-washing process I found that they were really slow to dry, which would mean that if you only had V2 Easyfits, you’d need an awful lot of them. I also had mixed feelings about the bamboo being close to bubs’ skin. On the one hand, its a natural fabric which is great, but it also holds moisture next to the skin meaning that baby feel the wet and wants changing more frequently (not sure if this is a good or bad thing really).
But I’ve now been using this nappy for 6 months and it has moved dramatically up my list of favourites. This nappy is as solid as they come, and looks as good now as it did the day I got it, even though its been in continuous use. In fact, compared to my BG’s, which are looking very work worn, the Tots Bots look absolutely pristine, and the aplix is as good as new (which starting to become a bit of an issue with the BG’s). Its easy to use, stays on, and hasn’t leaked once in all the time I’ve had it.
So here are the pro’s and con’s of the Easyfit V2 as I see them:
Pro’s
1. Bright funky pattern
2. Easy to use.
3. Wears well, will last a whole litter of children in my opinion.
4. Super strong velcro that will last forever.
5. Easy to adjust.
6. Made in the UK, so minimal mileage.
7. Bamboo next to skin, natural and means baby feels the wet.
8. Bomb proof!
Cons
1. Slow drying, would need a big stash.
2. Bamboo next to skin means baby feels the wet (a fleece liner would help with this if have an issue with nappy rash).
Here’s how much Nw loves them!
The Easyfit V2 are on clearance at Babi Pur at the mo, so grab yourself a bargain!
Why is such a fab nappy on clearance? Because the V3 is out – and I can’t wait to try it. The only issues I really had with this nappy was to do with the bamboo insert, and apparently this has been replaced by lovely, soft and fast drying minki insert instead, and the new patterns are super cute! The Easyfit V3 could end up being my dream nappy, but then I say that about all the nappies Babi Pur sell. Darn you Babi Pur, why do you have to sell such wonderful fluff!
P.S. Remember, you have until Weds 25th to enter the fab stash competition, so add a review to the Babi Pur site today to try all these beauties!xxxx
i love my tots bots ef they r fab designs and look great fantastic absorbancing and very soft inside love love love them x
I bought BG and Easyfits V2 at the same time. The BG’s remain my go-to nappy for two main reasons;
Firstly ~ the wetness of the bamboo, as you mentioned, which did cause quite severe nappy rash on my son (even with fleece liners added) and
secondly ~ was actually the velcro! As you say the velcro is really strong and now my son is walking this is less of an issue, but it’s strength was it’s pitfall when he was tiny. Because it is so strong it is also rather sharp around the edges, and it would cut into his tummy and make him really sore, especially when he was at the sitting and crawling stages and spent a lot of time bent around the middle! I had to stop using them until he could walk, which means they haven’t had a tonne of use and now, at almost 18 months, they are getting a bit on the small side! I never seem to read anyone else having this problem, but as all 5 of my nappies are the same I don’t understand why! It’s not that my boy is unduly podgy ~ just normal baby chub (although possibly chunkier than your little man pictured here). For me the nappy would be much more usable if the velcro were just softer!
Just wanted to say that I love reading your blogs and reviews! I must say I’m a fan of the easyfit nappies too and the v3 is an improvement on the v2 so I look forward to hearing how you get on with it.

Thanks Emily, that made me feel all warm inside! 🙂
I look forward to trying them too – will report back soon.xxxx
Sorry to hear you’ve had trouble with it Caroline, I can see how the velcro could cause prolems though, it is sturdy as anything! Goes to show how different babies suit different nappies though doesn’t it. Thank goodness there are so many good ‘uns out there to try (that’s my excuse for splashing the cash anyway!).xxxx
Agreed 🙂
