Zero Waste – Introducing Chicobag and To-Go Ware
New at Babipur
We are really excited to add these brands to our selection of eco homeware at Babipur! Two brands with one mission, Chicobag and To-Go Ware create thoughtfully designed and environmentally responsible alternatives to single use plastics. Their reusable products are designed to be lightweight, portable, and simple to use.
Plan Ahead
The secret to reducing waste when away from home is all in the planning! With some simple steps before you leave home, it is so much easier to avoid waste. Like with most things, a little bit of time and effort up front, saves you time and energy in the long run!
Nobody is perfect – we all have days when we forget our drinks bottles, grab a coffee in a single use cup because we’re having a tough day and we forgot our Klean Kanteen. But that’s ok! Never beat yourself up on the days that don’t go so well, celebrate the small wins and always keep in mind your successes, not your failures. Be kind to yourself always.

Chicobag and To-Go Ware – Two brands, one mission
In 2004, Andy Keller, founder of ChicoBag and To-Go Ware, set out to be the change he wanted to see in the world. He decided to make it his mission to help humanity to kick the single use plastic habit. Both his story and his brand are pretty inspirational and we think thats something to shout about!
There are so many things to love above Chicobag and To-Go Ware. Not not do they create functional, lightweight, and stylish products, they have a big conscience too.
Ethically made in China and Cambodia – Committed to ethical manufacturing where people are put before profits, actively supporting fair labor and workplace standards throughout the entire supply chain. They are proud to hold a category C licence with the Fair Labour Association.
A Climate Neutral Company – to protect the future of our home, companies have a responsibility for their carbon emissions. This is a serious business.
1% For the Planet – As of 2020, Chicobag and To-Go ware are proud to be members of this international organisation that supports businesses and individuals to take responsibility to give back and support the environment. This means that 1% of annual sales from rePETe products goes directly to supporting environmental charities. A global movement working towards a brighter future.
Repreve
Both Chicobag bottle bags and To-Go Ware utensil packs use rePETe materials in the manufacturing of these products – a trademarked term ChicoBag uses to identify products made from recycled materials.
These simple designs are made from 100% recycled PET which is supplied by Repreve, who certify that their rePETe yarn is made from 100% post consumer recycled plastic bottles. You can see exactly how this works in the graphic above!
To-Go Ware – Bamboo Utensil Set
Always be prepared on any adventures with a To Go Ware Bamboo Utensil set! Each set is equipped with a knife, fork, spoon and chopsticks, complete with its own stylish carry case made from recycled plastic bottles. So handy to pop in a backpack, handbag, or satchel, so you are never caught short needing single use cutlery again!
This compact little set is so easy to carry about with you, it will provide reassurance that you always have clean cutlery wherever you are, without making any waste at all!

Chicobag – Original and Vita
Chicobag makes a handy fold-away tote style bag that is lightweight and functional, with a simplistic design which comes complete with its own compact carrying pouch, that fits nicely into a pocket, handbag, backpack or belt. It has a little carabiner attached which is perfect to attach to a bag and never you never have to forget it. Great to avoid single use plastic bags when you are on the go.
The Original size compact bag weighs only 1oz but carries up to a massive 11kg. The larger tote bag with shoulder strap, the Vita, weighs 2oz but carries up to an epic 18kg. Both really practical, handy, portable alternatives to plastic bags. Carry one wherever you go!

Chicobag Bottle Sling
Another great product fro Chicobag that has already proved popular with our team and customers, is their amazing lightweight bottle sling made from 100% post consumer recycled plastic bottles, which holds almost any drinks bottles – from 12oz to 64oz!!
It’s great for dog walks, or any outings when you want your hands free but don’t necessarily want to carry a big backpack. There’s a handy pocket for your phone and even a secret section for some chopsticks or a pen! We think it’s pretty nifty!
