A Review Of The Wompat Baby Carrier – By Chloe Jones
Chloe chose the Red Rainbow Medium Wompat baby carrier to review. This is a soft structured buckle carrier suitable from approximately 12 months to three years. Here’s what she has to say:
“My first impression of the Wompat is love at first sight. I’ve carried since my middle child was born two-and-a-half years ago and I still carry him and his little brother on a regular basis. As much as I love the look of wraps I’m more of a buckle person myself. Just for the pure convenience of them with 3 small children. I absolutely love the fact that you’ve got the beauty of a woven effect panel but the convenience of a buckle carrier.
A generously sized baby carrier
I have been using the medium Wompat and comparing it to the standard Tula. My opinion is that it is considerably bigger! My just turning 1 year old is borderline fitting, and yet my two and a half year old sat perfectly and very comfortably and I imagine will do for the foreseeable.
The carrier is extremely comfortable I found the waistband was slightly flimsy but there was no reason to worry. It did all I needed it to and more, and was more than supportive whilst I carried my toddler for long periods of time whilst on holiday last week. I love the fact the back strap had lots of movement which allowed for more comfortable fit. The arm straps can be adjusted in both directions (up and down) which allows for a very personalised fit.
Comfortable and beautiful
The only downside I would say is that as gorgeous as the pixie hood is, I wouldn’t say personally that it was very supportive. However I think that was because I used it on the smaller child rather than the toddler and the panel was already so high up his back/neck so the hood didn’t sit correctly.
However, my overall opinion is that I absolutely love it! I would definitely recommend to anyone sat on the fence, you will not regret it. It’s easy, comfortable and beautiful. What more can you ask for.”
